Here is how to identify whether the VisualTarget electronics is a WiFi vs Wired Ethernet box.

The electronic enclosure has a small window, next to the "iOS WiFi / iOS WIRED" label, which let you distinguish between the two versions. See picture below.

Another way to check is by plugging in the Lightning connector into an iPad. Make sure the electronic box is connected to a live PoE line to supply it with power and data. Once connected you should see the Ethernet menu pop up in iOS settings.
